We have all had those mornings when we wake up, think about the day ahead, or what went on the day before, and snuggle down pulling the quilt over our head while squeezing our eyes tightly shut in a futile effort to ignore what we imagine may confront us in the next 24 hours. It never works though does it? We're still wide awake, aware we have to get up and get on with it even though it’s the last thing you want to do. The good thing is though that, usually, not always but usually, things aren’t as bad as we thought and, actually, getting out of bed, showered, face freshly made up (or Polyfilla mixed for those like me who need something more in order not to frighten small children and animals), and dressed. Now to face the day ahead. Who knows? The day may present us with an opportunity to learn and experience a valuable lesson in our journey through life. So why not embrace the fact that we're alive, breathing and blessed in being the mistress/master of our own destiny and take that leap of faith into the unknown that beckons us? What's the alternative? Repeating the pattern of refusing to accept and unwrap the gift of potential that each day may hold for just for us?. Tut, tut, of course not!
